Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the full cycle of accounting duties, from reconciling accounts to preparing financial statements.
Bookkeeper responsibilities Manage and maintain the company's financial records and transactions Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for our accountant to review Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payables, and collections Manage payroll and employee benefits, including calculating and processing payroll, tracking vacation and sick time, and administering health insurance and retirement plans Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax Work with customer service to pay various contract fees due monthly Communicate financial information to management Prepare annual reports/documents such as W2, 1099, financials etc.
HR (this section is very dependent on new hires & doesn't take up a consistent time block) Work with our Workers Comp company to file claims.
Will be directed by the claims person in step by step responsibilities Work with our benefits coordinator to process new employees, plan for annual sign ups, & be a liaison for questions for the coordinator.
These benefits involve health, dental, vision, and life insurance Work with our AFLAC coordinator to be a liaison for sign-ups & claims Work with our 401k administrator to explain benefits and set up meetings for eligible employees Source new employees as needed from various methods, indeed, zip recruiter, recruiting companies.
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles - Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation and technical accounting tasks - Experience with government accounting procedures is a plus - Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Ability to perform 10-key typing accurately - Competency in general ledger accounting software If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a solid background in accounting, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
